The experience
Supercharge your Spanish while coliving and coworking with the best community!
We’ll be a cosy group of about 12 people, sharing a full month (32 nights exactly!) between local discoveries, great food, memories, and a mix of classes and practice opportunities.
The home
We’ll be in a beautiful typical house in the Catalonian countryside.
It also operates as a coliving space so it’s the perfect environment: fully equipped with comfy rooms, living room, shared kitchen, coworking, a big garden (and natural pool for cold dips!).
Easy access from Barcelona (less than 1 hour by direct train or car).

Beginners (A1-A2)

Payment Conditions
At the moment of booking, you will be charged a deposit of 50% of the total of your stay. The rest of the amount will be automatically taken from the payment method provided 2 days after your check-in date. Your credit card information will be kept safely as a security for any potential damages.
Cancellation Policy
The deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel 30 days or less prior to arrival, in case of a no-show, you will be charged the full amount of your booked stay.
About the Program
About the Coliving

For Beginners Month in February, you don’t need to. Of course, if you’d like to practice beforehand, you can use apps like Duolingo to get started or book pre-classes with our teachers. Participants will have levels between A1 and A2.
A1 means:
you can understand and use basic everyday words and phrases.
you can introduce themselves, ask and answer simple personal questions, and have very basic conversations.
you can communicate if the other person speaks slowly, clearly, and is willing to help.
A2 means:
you can understand common phrases and everyday expressions about topics like family, work, shopping, and daily life.
you can communicate in simple, routine situations and exchange basic information.
you can describe yourself, your surroundings, and your immediate needs using simple language.
For Intermediate Month in March, you’ll need a minimum of B1 level as everyday interactions in the coliving will be in Spanish including the weekly Family Meeting, shared dinners, and classes.
B1 means:
you can understand the main points of everyday conversations and texts about familiar topics.
you can handle most situations while travelling in a country where the language is spoken.
you can talk and write about personal experiences, plans, and interests, and explain opinions in a simple way.
B2 means:
you can understand the main ideas of conversations, articles, and videos, even on more complex topics.
you can have natural conversations with native speakers without too much difficulty.
you can express opinions, explain ideas, and write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of topics.

Absolutely.
This isn’t a Spanish speaking course, or intensive language-learning retreat. This is for people who want to dedicate an hour or two a day to learning Spanish – alongside their usual daily activities.

Most importantly: suggest (and run) your own activities.

Need a day off? Same here – you’ll find us doing a ham tasting in the kitchen. -
We understand that committing to a month can be a challenge. However, based on our experience with similar events, we know that connecting with others and creating community is a crucial part of making the trip worthwhile.
If there’s anything we can do to make the month’s commitment more possible for you, let us know. We often have colivers joining us who work across timezones, for example, or who bring their pets or partners.
Of course, if travel arrangements require you to arrive a day later or leave a day earlier, that’s totally fine.

By plane: Barcelona El Prat Airport is just 1h away by car. There's also a direct train from the airport to Hostalric (the closest village) 2-3 times a day. We can pick you up from the train station for a 15€ fee. The closest Airport is Girona-Costa Brava Airport, which is 30 minutes away by car.
By car: Just follow Google Maps: Spanish Immersion Coliving, we are less than 1h away from Barcelona and you can park your car at the premises.
By train: There are regular trains from Barcelona city center to the closest village Hostalric (approximately every 2h and the train takes 1h) and a train from Barcelona Airport to Hostalric 2-3 times a day. We can pick you up from the train station for a 15€ fee.

The house itself is a massive rural masia, with enough shared spaces to lose yourself: 2 kitchens for culinary masterpieces, a 24/7 co-working zone, a cozy dining hall, a living room with a fireplace, a cinema room for late-night marathons, a lounge area with games and instruments, 2 barbecue areas, a wild garden, a natural pool, and a fully equipped gym.

There’s a 24/7 coworking space with ergonomic chairs and beautiful views. You also have a desk in your bedrooms and plenty of nooks if you need a change of environments. The Wi-Fi covers the entire house and garden, with speeds over 100 Mbps for downloads and 20 Mbps for uploads.

Although a car is the only way to get to the coliving and we encourage colivers to come with cars whenever possible, you don’t necessarily need a car for the entire time of your stay – unless you’re planning to explore the region daily.
You can team up renting a car for the weekends with other colivers or join for trips those who came with cars.
We go grocery shopping twice a week, where you can either join us or order online.
We also do pick ups and drop offs to the train station (15€ /person - between 8:30 am and 8:30pm).

Besides learning Spanish and making memories with colivers, Montseny Natural Park is right at our door step, packed with endless hikes and secret gorges. We're also just 30 minutes from the Costa Brava's crystalline beaches, surrounded by charming villages and ancient castles. Barcelona's just an hour away and Girona is even closer at 40 minutes. And if you're craving adrenaline: trail running, zipline parks, and via ferratas are plenty around the house!
